Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Impavio collects, why we use it, when it is sent to service providers, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

• Account information: your Sign in with Apple account identifier and, when Apple provides them, your name and email address.
• Practice content: your selected prompt, audio submitted for analysis, transcript, coaching report, rewritten answer, scores, practice mode, duration, and date.
• Usage records: the number of completed analyses used to enforce the daily limit.
• Purchase information: subscription product, store environment, transaction and subscription identifiers, purchase and expiration dates, subscription status, currency, storefront, offer information, and refund or revocation details supplied by Apple. Impavio does not receive your full payment-card details.
• Feedback and support information: feedback you choose to submit, support replies delivered to your in-app Messages inbox, and app version, build, iOS version, and device model details used to investigate the request. Feedback does not automatically include recordings, transcripts, or coaching reports.
• Notification information: to deliver account-specific messages, we process an app-installation identifier, your current Apple Push Notification service token, notification permission settings, and unread-message count. We link these details to your Impavio account only to deliver those messages and app icon badges. The practice-reminder days and time you choose stay on your device and are not sent to Impavio.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate your account, verify subscription access, restore purchases, process refunds and revocations, transcribe the recording you choose to submit, generate your requested coaching, show your practice history, enforce usage limits, review feedback, deliver account-specific support replies, service messages, and app icon badges through Apple Push Notification service, maintain security, and comply with law. Practice reminders are scheduled by iOS on your device and do not require Impavio to receive your selected reminder schedule. We do not sell personal information, display advertising, or use your information for cross-app tracking.

Website analytics

On the impavio.app website we use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic and understand which pages and guides are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies or similar identifiers and processes information such as your approximate region, device and browser type, pages visited, and referring links; Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. We use this information only to improve the website and do not use it for advertising or to identify you. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

AI service providers

Before your first analysis, the app asks for permission for the following processing. If you decline or later withdraw permission, Impavio does not submit future recordings for analysis.

• Deepgram: receives your recording to create a transcript. Impavio opts submitted recordings out of the Model Improvement Program. Deepgram processes the recording according to its service terms and privacy practices.
• DeepSeek: receives the transcript, practice mode, and prompt to create coaching. DeepSeek states that submitted content and generated results may be temporarily cached and that service data is stored in mainland China. This means the submitted content is processed outside the United States and Canada.

Do not include passwords, financial information, government identifiers, medical information, or other sensitive personal information in prompts or recordings.

Storage and retention

Impavio temporarily stores the submitted recording while processing it and deletes the recording after the analysis attempt, whether the attempt succeeds or fails. We retain transcripts, prompts, coaching reports, scores, usage records, feedback, and account-specific in-app messages until you delete the applicable content or your account. If you enable notifications, we retain the installation identifier, APNs token, and permission state while that installation remains associated with your account; signing out disables delivery, and deleting your account removes the association. Deleting your account removes its link to verified store subscription and transaction records. We may retain those de-identified store records for the limited period required or permitted for accounting, tax, refund, dispute, security, and fraud-prevention purposes, and do not use them to personalize the product after deletion. When internal email feedback notifications are configured, our email delivery provider processes the feedback only to notify our support inbox; replies to users are delivered through Messages in the app. Apple processes purchases, subscription status, and notification delivery under Apple’s terms. Service providers may retain information under their own terms and legal obligations.

Your privacy choices

• AI permission: open You, tap Settings, and withdraw permission at any time. This stops future submissions but does not delete prior reports.
• Notifications: choose Maybe later during setup; change or turn off your on-device practice reminder from You > Settings > Practice reminders; or change alerts, sounds, and app icon badges in iOS Settings. Practice reminders do not add an app icon badge. Turning notifications off does not remove messages from your private in-app inbox.
• Delete one report: delete it from Progress.
• Delete your account: open You, tap Settings, choose Delete account and all data, and confirm. This removes your Impavio account, reports, messages, notification devices, and current access entitlements. Verified store transaction records are unlinked and may be retained only for the limited purposes described above.
• Sign in with Apple: you may separately stop using Impavio with your Apple Account from Apple Account settings.

Security and transfers

We use encrypted HTTPS connections and access controls designed to protect information. No security method is perfect. Our services and providers may process data in countries whose laws differ from those where you live, including the United States and mainland China as described above.

Children

Impavio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the new effective date here and request renewed in-app permission when a material change affects AI data sharing.
